Photos by Rachel Wegh.

Rachel Wegh is a British photographer. Her photos and films explore a range of subject matter but are concerned with the often unseen and marginalised, vulnerable yet resilient and are invariably biographically inflected. She seeks out those subjects that don't have a voice in literal or metaphorical terms. The memory in landscape, for example, could tell a thousand tales. In this way, attention is drawn to what we choose to conserve, preserve, admire and subjugate.

After working in the private sector and Local Government, in town planning and economic development, Rachel took a number of City & Guilds evening classes in photography before pursuing a degree in photography at the prestigious Blackpool & the Fylde College where she gained a First in 2008. Then she pursued an MA in Documentary Production at Salford University. She went on to explore the barriers, through film and photography - physical, political, psychological and philosophical - that humans put up between themselves and nature.

Rachel is available for talks and tutoring for individual, groups and team building. She teaches various creative nature and mindful photography courses at the City Lit FE college in Holborn. For further information please use the contact form:
